Drop-In for a Quick Tip on Improving Your Order Picking Operation
Fixing the lags and inaccuracies in your order picking operation may be as simple as replacing your old, broken or just plain ole’ ineffective carton flow rack.
If that sounds too simple we’ve got the video proof. Our new animated Dyna-Deck carton flow rack video is the easiest way to show how simple it really is to completely transform a messy, dysfunctional and slow order-picking operation into a highly-efficient and accurate one.
Dyna-Deck Carton Flow Advantages
- Retrofits/replaces any existing carton flow shelf
- Full wheel bed accommodates cartons, cases and totes of varying size and shape
- Ideal for frequent inventory/SKU changes
- Infinitely adjustable, snap-on entry guides
Broken and misaligned carton flow rails slow the otherwise productive movement of SKUs to the pick aisle. Items get stuck in the lane, or they can shift into other lanes getting mixed up and leading to costly picking errors. The Dyna-Deck full wheel bed carton flow design replaces old carton flow rails and provides a greater surface area coverage within the pick bay. Not only that, Dyna-Deck is a heavy-duty and low-profile replacement product to reliably handle inventory of all shapes and sizes within the same pick bay.
As you can see in the video, the old, inferior carton flow rails are removed, and Dyna-Deck tracks are simply dropped into place. That’s it! Dyna-Deck tracks are available in two key widths, 12” & 16” to ensure you get as much wheeled coverage out of your rack bay as possible. For example, 6- 16” width tracks completely fill a standard 96” bed for optimized use of your rack system and maximum SKU slotting locations. The heavy-duty polypropylene wheels are available on 1”, 2” or 3” centers and are rated for ambient and cold-storage warehouse temperatures.
Optional Carton Flow Rack Accessories
Optional accessories carton flow entry guides and lane dividers are also available to separate SKUs for easier visual lane identification which leads to faster loading and picking and for compliance where necessary. Entry guides are infinitely adjustable and snap into place on any position along the shelf.
Tilt trays can be added to the pick-side to enhance picking efficiency, accuracy and ergonomics. They can be customized in both length and width for a perfect fit within your system.
Impact trays should be installed on the load (charge) side of the system to protect the carton flow wheels from abuse of the constant loading of heavy inventory. Trays sit flush with the flow bed to easily slide product onto the wheels once placed in the lane.
