The job of a National Accounts Manager for Mallard Manufacturing covers a lot of ground… both figuratively and literally. John joined the Mallard team in 2014. He’s an industry veteran with extensive material handling equipment, systems and inventory processing know-how.

Take a minute to catch up with John Fiori.

A Typical Day at Mallard

My day normally starts checking emails. Quote request are first on the list followed with checking on order status etc. Our team at the factory is the best support around the industry, they make me look good. You will usually find me on the road somewhere, from ND, SD, MN, NE, KS, IA, IN, MO, AR, OK and TX are my responsibility. Along with destinations where projects take me. Making sure our dealer network has what they need in regard to training, product information and support is my main goal. If they are prepared we are all successful.

Why Mallard?

The team we have has been together far longer than I have been aboard, and they are some of the best in the industry. We take the time to ensure the project is the correct solution and is delivered on time and implemented with the customers’ expectations meet or exceeded. This is only done with a very good group of people. It starts at the top, Kevin Risch & Mike Gunderson set the example for all.

John’s Favorite Things

My wife, and I are avid travelers, we both scuba dive and we have been very lucky to visit some great destinations.

Due to our travels I have become very concerned with ocean conservation. I belong to the North Atlantic Great White Conservancy and am an advocate for all sea life conservation.

When at home I bake… and eat too much of what I bake. I’m known for my pies.

My backyard city garden is my place of solace, nothing better than growing what you eat.

Music/Concerts have always been a big part of me. Even more so the last few years. I try to go see groups at different venues around the country and around the world, if you know of a good venue in Ireland or New Zealand let me know, they are on my list.
