Solving the Keg Storage Bottleneck with Keg Flow

Mallard Manufacturing Corporation, leading manufacturer of quality pallet flow and carton flow systems, is pleased to introduce one of its newest gravity flow products, Keg Flow.  As an answer to the growing concern for more efficient and flexible order fulfillment for beverage distributors, keg flow provides dense, multi-level keg storage that can accommodate all types and sizes of kegs.

Mallard’s keg flow allows for easy storage and retrieval of multi-sized kegs (up to 8 kegs deep and 8 kegs wide), with increased pick face locations via individual lane/SKU configuration.  Custom-designed flow systems can retrofit existing pallet rack for either FILO (push-back) or FIFO (gravity flow) applications.

“As the flood of new craft beers continues to expand, so does the explosion of SKUs and use of new and smaller kegs in the warehouse,” said Kevin Risch, President of Mallard Manufacturing.  “We responded to the needs of our beverage distributors with Keg Flow; a solution that optimizes space, providing selectivity for numerous SKUs and keg sizes, while reducing travel time for increased productivity.

Mallard Keg Flow roller options are designed around the keg specification; roller width is typically ½” wider than the diameter of the keg.  Kegs sit relatively low in the lane and are guided by side rails that vary in height depending on the size and height of the keg.
