Mallard’s Cart-Trak carton flow rack is an easy to install, versatile and dependable warehousing solution that keeps SKUs moving while improving order picking accuracy and productivity. That may sound like a tall order, but we’ve got a recent test that shows how well carton flow “goes with the flow” even with a tall order.

Cart-Trak is a roller carton flow product perfect for consistently-sized packaging. Take for example these 10” round ice cream containers. They are ideal candidates for Cart-Trak, not just because of the sweet treat that they hold but because the durable construction is ideal for flat-bottomed, mid to heavily-weighted, consistently-sized cartons like these ice cream tubs. Plus, the galvanized finish prevents damage and rust in food/freezer applications.
Mallard manufactures Cart-Trak rollers in two options – with bushings and with bearings. The rollers with bearings used in this application provide a smoother, more consistent flow for products like these ice cream tubs. It also requires fewer rollers and is mounted with only minimal slope saving vertical space and allowing for more carton flow levels and therefore more SKU facings. We offer both our bushings and bearings Cart-Trak rollers in four widths 6″, 9″, 12″ and 16″ to best match the container size with the carton flow lane to be able to maximize rack space.

Despite the fact that the ice cream containers didn’t come filled with product, the Mallard Engineering Testing Lab considered this test a success. As you were able to see in the test video, our team tested out multiple pitches for the lane configuration in order to land on the best carton flow solution.
